Dr. Tanya Hamilton-Johnson

BSc (Hons), MBBS, DM (Surgery), FACS — Consultant General Surgeon

Dr. Tanya Hamilton-Johnson is a highly respected Jamaican General Surgeon and healthcare leader with more than three decades of dedicated service to the public health sector. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), she holds a DM in Surgery from the University of the West Indies and has built a distinguished career grounded in surgical excellence, compassionate patient care, and strong medical leadership.

She currently serves as the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) and Head of Surgery at St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital. Her clinical expertise spans laparoscopic and open abdominal surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, appendectomy, and soft tissue procedures. Dr. Hamilton-Johnson is deeply committed to improving surgical outcomes and advancing healthcare delivery for the people of Jamaica.

Dr. Dwight O. Whittle is a consultant physician and gastroenterologist specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the digestive system. He brings extensive clinical experience in both general internal medicine and advanced gastroenterological care to Coastal Surgical Associates.

His areas of expertise include upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, management of inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), liver disorders, and colorectal cancer screening. Ms. Angela Davis

MRCPod — Specialist in Diabetic Foot Care

Ms. Angela Davis is a Member of the Royal College of Podiatry (MRCPod) and a specialist in diabetic foot care. With dedicated expertise in the prevention and management of lower limb complications associated with diabetes, she provides comprehensive podiatric services to patients across Jamaica.

Her clinical services include diabetic foot assessments, ulcer management, callus and nail care, neuropathy screening, custom orthotics, and patient education on daily foot hygiene. Ms. Davis works closely with the medical team to provide integrated, multidisciplinary care aimed at preventing amputations and serious foot complications.

Dr. Llorenia Muir-Green is a specialist dermatologist with focused expertise in disorders of the hair, scalp, skin, and nails. She brings a thorough, evidence-based approach to the diagnosis and management of a wide spectrum of dermatological conditions.

She manages conditions including alopecia, scalp disorders, eczema, psoriasis, acne, fungal infections, pigmentation disorders, and skin lesions. Dr. Muir-Green also performs minor dermatological procedures including mole removal, cyst excision, cryotherapy, and skin biopsy. Dr. Jodie Taylor is a consultant hematologist and oncologist with a Doctor of Medicine (DM) specialisation in her field. She brings a dual expertise in blood disorders and cancer care, offering comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for patients across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.

Her practice encompasses cancer consultations, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, haematological disorder management, palliative care support, and survivorship planning. Dr. Taylor works collaboratively across disciplines to ensure each patient receives a personalised, multidisciplinary care plan — guided by compassion, precision, and a dedication to improving cancer outcomes in the region.
